This week at
. . .
tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, onions, eggplant, cabbage, broccoli, yellow squash, and zuccini have been started for transplants in the greenhouses. These should be available for sale as transplants around April 20th. They should be producing in June. We planted snow peas, sugar snaps, and green garden peas in the field. We also planted beans, corn and potatoes. Strawberry plants are growing and beginning to bloom. We hope to have strawberries for sale at the beginning of May. The peach trees are in full bloom this week and we should have a crop this year if no frost. Apples should be in bloom in about 10 days. We also planted 1,000 dwarf apple trees this winter. We hope to have these in 2 or 3 years as "pick your own".
